Robin van Persie is hoping to reach an agreement with Arsenal which will see him sign a contract extension. “We have been in talks about a new contract for a while now,” Van Persie told the Daily Mail.
“I have been in some of the meetings and the club knows how I feel about things. “I am very ambitious and I know the club is, too. I know we have what it takes. The potential is here but we need to make the final step. I have an influence in that. I know that.”
