Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti does not want Zlatan Ibrahimovic to leave the club.

Reports suggest that the 31-year-old could depart the Ligue 1 champions during the transfer window, if they complete a deal to sign highly-rated Uruguayan Edinson Cavani from Napoli.

But Verratti wants Sweden international Ibrahimovic to help the team build on their first league title since 1994.

“For me Ibra (Ibrahimovic) is the best,” he told Sport Italia. “He is a great player.

“We had a great season last time.

“We were delighted, but we want to repeat that success this season.”

Ibrahimovic enjoyed a fruitful season in front of goal during the 2012-13 campaign, scoring 30 goals in Ligue 1 to help PSG to the title.
