Marco Verratti’s agent has revealed the Pescara starlet has agreed to join Paris Saint-Germain.
The Serie A side have reportedly accepted a bid of approximately 13 million euros for the 19-year-old attacking midfielder, who had repeatedly said his preference was to remain at the Stadio Adriatico for another season before moving to Juventus.
However, with Juve having refused to increase their bid for his services, Verratti has, according to agent Donato Di Campli, decided to join PSG.
“Right now I am on my honeymoon, having got married on Friday,” the player’s representative said.
“But we can say that the signing should come early next week or by the end of this one.
“Anyway, the guy is willing to say yes to PSG.”
Verratti, who has been compared to Italy star Andrea Pirlo, played a key role in Pescara’s promotion-winning campaign in Serie B last season and was included in Italy’s provisional squad for Euro 2012.
