Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo was once again the main difference in the Champions League as he led Real Madrid to semifinals in a controversial victory achieved after an iffy penalty call.
Juventus battled back from the 3-0 deficit in the first leg and were on course to stun the reigning European champions when their dreams came crashing down with legendary Buffon ending his Champions League path with a red card.
The Italian goalkeeper criticized the referee after the match, while Ronaldo insisted it was the right call.
The two players – although with different opinions – once again showed their true sportsmanlike character when they shared an emotional moment in the mixed zone.
Ronaldo interrupted Buffon’s interview to hug him and whisper words of comfort into his ear.
