Aston Villa have agreed a deal with Middlesbrough believed to be worth around £5 million, for defender Luke Young.

The England right-back only moved to the North East last summer when Boro paid Charlton £2.5 million for his signature.

After playing in all but three games for Boro last season, 29 year old Young is now heading for Birmingham where he will undergo a medical today.
