La Liga outfit Villarreal have reportedly made a decision to exercise the €18 million purchase option for AC Milan forward Carlos Bacca and will send him back to Italy once his loan deal expires at the end of the season.
Having struggled to recreate his best form playing at Serie A giants AC Milan, Carlos Bacca moved to the Yellow Submarine in an effort to get his career back of track.
The Colombian international ended up scoring 12 goals in 35 appearances with the Spanish side and was recently quoted telling the Spanish media he would love to remain with Villarreal beyond the current campaign.
The Yellow Submarine share Bacca’s sentiment but are still unwilling to match the purchase fee. The Spaniards attempted to lowed the demands but with AC Milan refusing to budge on the price Villarreal appear to be moving on from the Colombian.
Carlos Bacca is under contract with AC Milan until 2020 and he will be returning to Italy on June 30.
He is currently with Colombian national side preparing for France and Australia friendlies. The Colombians first face France on Friday and Carlos Bacca can be found at 31/10 to score anytime against Les Blues.
