Attacking midfielder Rocky Visconte has joined the Western Sydney Wanderers on a short-term deal.
Visconte, 22, was released by Brisbane Roar on Tuesday after making 24 appearances for the reigning A-League champions.
Wanderers coach Tony Popovic said Visconte would help bolster the club’s depth.
“Rocky is a good young player and he is very hungry and ambitious and we are very pleased to have him to add to our attacking options in the squad,” Popovic said.
“He has not had a lot of match time at the Roar and we will take the next week or so to work with him and see exactly where he is at.
“We are looking forward to having him with us and we will be working hard together to bring the best out of him.”
Visconte said he is looking forward to getting down to work with his new club.
“I have seen and heard that there is something very special happening out here at Western Sydney and I am very happy to join the club,” the former Hearts player said.
“This club is sitting in the top four so it is obviously doing something very positive and I want to take the next three months and show what I have got.
“Tony and Ante (Milicic) and the coaching staff have shown faith in me and I am determined to show them what I can bring for the future.”
