Watford eyeing Adebayor deal

Watford are considering offering a short term deal to former Tottenham Hotspur striker Emanuel Adebayor, according to the Mirror.

The thirty-one year was released by Spurs in the summer and saw proposed moves to both Aston Villa and West Ham United fail to materialise.

Now Watford, who have been in fine form since returning to the top flight are weighing up whether or not to make an offer.

Turkish giants Galatasaray are also interested in offering the ex-Arsenal, Manchester City and Real Madrid man a deal.

Adebayor made one hundred and six appearances in all competitions for Spurs, scoring forty-one goals but barely featured last season, making just two starts in the Premier League.

However, Watford are keen to add his experience as the look to assert themselves in the division.

The Hornets beat West Ham United at the weekend to move up to eleventh place and they can be backed at 5/1 to finish in the top ten.
