Welbeck on his way out of Arsenal

The Express understands that Arsenal are ready to listen to offers for forward Danny Welbeck.

The twenty-seven-year old slipped further down the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium in January when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang finalised his move from Borussia Dortmund and new manager Unai Emery has confirmed that he is not in his plans going forward.

Despite that competition, Welbeck racked up forty-three appearances in all competitions last season, scoring ten goals – form that saw him included in Gareth Southgate’s squad for the World Cup finals in Russia while he also played at the tournament in Brazil four years earlier.

In total he has played one hundred and twelve times for the Gunners, scoring twenty-seven goals and winning the 2017 FA Cup while he clinched winners’ medals in both the Premier League and League Cup during his time at Manchester United.

Arsenal start the new season with the visit of champions Manchester City, and the home win is priced at 13/5.
