The Gareth Barry saga just won’t go away.

Aston Villa’s boss Martin O’Neill has praised his England midfielder for having agreed to play in Villa’s next UEFA Cup match.

This comes in the wake in his obvious disappointment at not having succeeded in his dream move to Liverpool.

The offer of a possible transfer to Merseyside has had its disappointments for Barry and every time it appeared as if he were about to leave, Aston Villa have turned down the offer.

Speaking to Sky Sports News Barry said that he felt that his midfielder was doing the correct thing in showing his determination in wanting to play.
