The Football Association has denied reports suggesting Wembley Stadium will be renamed as part of a rights deal.

Reports had claimed that a deal with a mobile phone operator could be struck which would see the ground known as as “Wembley Stadium in association with EE”.

However, the FA have moved to deny such claims, saying that naming rights are simply not available for Wembley.

“There are no naming rights available for Wembley Stadium and there is nothing to report about any rights deals being signed, with any company at present,” a Wembley official told Goal.com.

“It is no secret that we’ve been in the market for a lead partner but throughout we’ve maintained that no naming rights are available and this point remains.”

Several Premier League grounds already have such agreements in place such as Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium, Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium and Wigan’s DW Stadium.

Wembley Stadium was opened in 2007 and will host this season’s Champions League final in May.
