West Brom back in for Gibson

West Bromwich Albion are readying a third bid for Middlesbrough defender Ben Gibson, according to the Mirror.

The Baggies have failed in two approaches for the England U21 international and are so keen to get their man they are ready to pay a club-record £20m to secure their services.

Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City are also considering a move for the twenty-four year old with Boro ready to let him go for the right price.

Aside from brief loan spells with Plymouth Argyle, York City and Tranmere Rovers earlier on in his career Gibson has spent his entire career so far with Middlesbrough, racking up one hundred and fifty-three appearances for them in all competitions, scoring three goals.

He was part of the squad that finished second in the Championship in the 2015/16 campaign but was unable to help them retain their top flight status the following year.
