West Brom in for Hennessey

Wales international goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey is on the verge of completing a move to West Bromwich Albion, according to the Guardian.

With Ben Foster set to be out of action until at least October, Baggies boss Tony Pulis is on the lookout for a new shot stopper, and has identified the Crystal Palace man as his top target.

Hennessey moved to Selhurst Park from Wolverhampton Wanderers two years ago, but has played just seven times for the Eagles, with just four of those outings coming in the Premier League.

He did make almost sixty top-flight appearances during his time with Wolves, and his next cap for his country will be his fiftieth at senior level.

His last appearances for Chris Coleman’s side came in last month’s 1-0 win over Belgium – a result which fired Wales to the top of their Euro 2016 qualifying group, and they can now be backed at just 1/12 to make it to next summer’s tournament in France.
