West Brom in for Rodriguez

West Bromwich Albion are interested in taking Southampton forward Jay Rodriguez on loan, according to the Telegraph.

The one time England international has played just six minutes of league football so far this season having fallen down the pecking order under new Saints’ boss Claude Puel and looks set for a transfer ahead of next week’s deadline.

Hull City, who have won their opening two games of the season despite having just thirteen senior players registered are also interested in signing the twenty-seven year old who moved to St Mary’s Stadium from Burnley in the summer of 2012.

Since arriving on the South Coast he has racked up ninety-two appearances in all competitions, scoring twenty-nine goals though he missed the entire 2014/15 season through injury.

His one senior cap for his country so far came in a 2-0 friendly defeat to Chile in November 2013.
