West Brom lead chase for Andre Horta

Premier League outfit West Bromwich are in pole position to sign Benfica midfielder Andre Horta, according to Record.

The 20-year-old footballer has permission to leave the club having struggled for playing time last season, and everything suggests he will be farmed out on loan.

Clubs from Spain, England and France have been showing interest in the central midfielder, but latest reports suggest that West Bromwich lead the chase.

The Baggies are prepared to cover his wages in full and also pay a loan fee, which is something most other suitors are not prepared to do.

Andre Horta had come through the youth ranks at Benfica, and he spent a couple of years at Vitoria Setubal before returning to Estadio da Luz.

The talented footballer made a total of 16 competitive appearances for the Eagles, registering one goal and one assist in the process.
