West Brom linked with Terry move

West Bromwich Albion are set to lead the chase for John Terry’s services this summer, according to the Mirror.

The former England international announced on Monday that he will quit Chelsea, the club with which he has had a twenty-two year association with at the end of the season and the Midlands club are ready to pounce.

Baggies’ boss Tony Pulis had enquired about signing the central defender back in January though he decided to remain at Stamford Bridge.

Aside from a brief loan spell with Nottingham Forest in the year 2000, Terry has spent his entire playing career with Chelsea racking up over seven hundred appearances in all competitions, scoring sixty-six goals.

During that time he has won fourteen major honours, thirteen of which as the club’s captain with that haul including four Premier League titles and the 2012 UEFA Champions League, while he was capped seventy-six times for his country, scoring six times.
