West Ham agree terms with William Carvalho

The Daily Express has suggested that West Ham United are on the verge of signing William Carvalho from Sporting CP.

Manager Slaven Bilic is determined to reinforce the midfield department following the opening defeats to Man Utd and Southampton, and he sees the Portuguese footballer as a potentially great addition to the squad.

Latest reports from England suggest that Carvalho has already agreed a five-year deal with the Hammers, but the two clubs have yet to find an agreement.

West Ham have so far offered £32 million, whereas Sporting CP are holding out for £36.5 million, which is the amount of the player’s release clause.

William Carvalho has been an important player for club and country for several years now, making five appearances at the Euro 2016 finals.
