West Ham eyeing Fyodor Smolov

David Moyes is the new man in charge of the sinking ship that is West Ham United, and first on the agenda for the former Manchester United boss is to find a new striker. FC Krasnodar star Fyodor Smolov could well be the man the Hammers turn to, according to the Mail, and they will need the Russian international to adapt quickly if they are to avoid potential relegation.

Smolov has been a prolific force for Krasnodar, picking up the Russian Premier League top goalscorer award in each of the last two seasons. His exploits have earned him many fans, and Borussia Dortmund reportedly attempted to sign him last year.

West Ham meanwhile are in dire need of some goals, and will be hoping that the Russian can make an immediate impact. The Irons are all the way down in 18th place in the Premier League table and have found the back of the net just 11 times in 12 games. Moyes will need to make big changes if the club are going to stay in the top flight.
