West Ham United are in talks with Lazio over the possibility of signing Felipe Anderson, according to Sky Sports.
Since the appointment of former Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini, the Hammers have already confirmed the signing of fullback Ryan Fredericks from Fulham, and they are looking to improve the squad further.
Anderson has been playing for Lazio for five years now. He has made 177 appearances, scored 34 goals and booked 42 assists since his arrival from Santos in 2013. He also played one game for the Brazilian national team.
Looking to bolster his midfield, Pellegrini sees Anderson as a very good option, and the possibility of his move away from Rome has been increased by Lazio failing to secure a spot in next season’s Champions League. However, the Italian club values the player at €50million, which is significantly more than West Ham are willing to pay. Sky Sports also say that there are other clubs interested in his services as well.
