West Ham join race for Mamadou Sakho

French media outlet Le 10 Sport understands that West Ham are showing interest in Liverpool reject Mamadou Sakho.

The Frenchman is almost certain to quit Anfield in the January window after falling out with manager Jurgen Klopp and he will have no shortage of offers.

Clubs from England, Italy and France appear to be readying January proposals, with West Ham the latest side to have joined the chase.

According to Le 10 Sport, the Hammers have already made an approach as they hope to improve their defensive options with the addition of Sakho in the upcoming transfer window.

The 26-year-old was dropped from the senior squad in the summer and he didn’t make a single appearance for the first team this season.

Sakho is, nonetheless, held in high regard by top European clubs and we could see a real bidding war for his services come January transfer window.
