West Ham release four first team players

Premier League outfit West Ham have announced the release of four first team players at the end of the current season.

The Hammers first decided not to renew Sam Allardyce’s contract, before allowing four first team players to leave when their deals expire in June.

West Ham announced on their official website that the likes of Carlton Cole, Guy Demel, Jussi Jaaskelainen and Nene will leave on 30th June.

Youngsters Kieran Bywater, Sean Maguire, Paul McCallum and Dan Potts will be released as well with their respective contracts drawing to a close.

West Ham ended the season in 12th position after suffering three straight defeats, but they, nonetheless, secured Europa League qualification after England was awarded a Fair Play berth.

Both the coaching and playing squads are set to undergo serious changes after yet another disappointing season, which had a pretty good start, but then saw the team experience all sorts of problems after the turn of the year.
