West Ham are closing in on Vitesse striker Wilfried Bony, according to Dutch newspaper Voetbal International.
The Ivorian striker is one of the most sought-after players at the moment and he has been linked with a number of Europe’s top clubs including Chelsea.
Voetbal International has learned that the 24-year-old is nearing a shock move to West Ham.
The Dutch newspaper claims that the two clubs have agreed on a £12 million transfer fee, with the final details expected to be sorted next week.
Bony has yet to agree on personal terms with the Boleyn Ground outfit, but everything suggests the transfer will be officially announced in the next few days.
The talented striker has been in amazing form this season, bagging 26 goals in 24 Eredivisie matches, while also scoring for Ivory Coast national team in the 3-0 win over Gambia.
He has been widely tipped to join Chelsea as a replacement for Fernando Torres, but it appears West Ham have beaten their local rivals for the player’s signature.
