West Ham sign Portuguese starlet

Premier League outfit West Ham have announced the signing of Portuguese forward Domingos Quina from Benfica on their official website.

The Hammers did well to win the chase for the 16-year-old talent, with several other top sides also attempting to secure his signature.

Quina will join West Ham in July on a two-year scholarship deal, while he will pen a professional contract when he turns 17 in November.

Born in Guinea-Bissau, the forward has impressed playing for Benfica youth sides, while he also helped Portugal win the Under-17 European Championship title in Azerbaijan few days ago.

Quina made six appearances at the tournament finals as the Selecao defeated Spain on penalties in the final, scoring his only goal in a 2-0 triumph over Scotland.

The youngster is predicted a bright future in the game and he has now been given a chance to impress at the highest level.
