West Ham, Stoke keen on Napoli forward

Sky Sport Italia has suggested that Premier League sides West Ham United and Stoke City are showing interest in Napoli striker Manolo Gabbiadini.

While he had impressed acting as back-up to Gonzalo Higuain, the Italy international has largely struggled since the Argentine left, and the Azzurri are ready to offload him and purchase a new striker.

As things stand now, the 25-year-old should have no problems finding a new club as Wolfsburg, Schalke, Everton, Lyon and Marseille are all keen on his services.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Premier League clubs West Ham and Stoke have also joined the chase, meaning that we could witness a real bidding war in the January window.

Gabbiadini has only managed one goal in 11 Serie A fixtures this season, while he also netted once in five Champions League outings.

Having failed to take advantage of Arkadiusz Milik’s absence, the striker is widely expected to leave in the winter.
