West Ham tempted by Clement Grenier

West Ham provide perhaps the best example of how tight it is at the bottom of the Premier League table, mainly because they sit 11th, only being kept out of the top half on goal difference, while also finding themselves just four points above the relegation zone.

It is little surprise then that manager David Moyes is looking to bolster his squad in this January transfer window, and especially the midfield areas that have been ravaged by injury this season. Lyon’s Clement Grenier, according to the Sun, is the man who could help them ensure safety, and he could cost as little as £1m.

The French international’s contract expires in the summer, and he has made just one Ligue 1 appearance so far this season. At 27-years old the midfielder is very experienced, having spent eight seasons with Lyon, and a season on loan at Roma, and his talent could help secure survival for the Hammers.
