West Ham wrap up Jelavic deal

West Ham United have completed the signing of Nikica Jelavic from Hull City, according to the Mail Online.

The Croatia international played fifty times in all competitions for the Tigers having signed for them from Everton last January, scoring thirteen goals.

In two years at Goodison Park, Jelavic scored twenty-one goals in sixty-nine appearances while internationally he has been capped thirty-six times for his county, with two of those outings coming at last summer’s World Cup finals.

Prior to his move to the Premier League in January 2012 Jelavic spent eighteen months in Scotland with Rangers while he has also played in Austria, Belgium and his native Croatia.

With Andy Carroll, Enner Valencia and Mauro Zarate all struggling with injury Jelavic could well make his debut against Newcastle United a week on Monday.

West Ham currently sit eighth in the league, and can be backed at 9/4 to finish the season in the top half of the table.
