Former Liverpool and Real Sociedad goalkeeper Sander Westerveld failed a medical test and consequently his move to the Eredivisie side has collapsed.
Westerveld has a long-standing knee problem and, according to doctors, “remaining damage in the joint”.
Westerveld, however, insists he is fit and ready for action in the Eredivisie.
“I think that I can keep freely,” Westerveld told AD Sportwereld.
