Wolfsburg agree deal for Bruno Henrique

Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg have agreed a deal to sign striker Bruno Henrique from Goias, the Brazilian club announced on their official website.

The Wolves were on the lookout for a centre forward after Bas Dost had suffered an injury, and they have now successfully ended the search.

The cost of the transfer was not disclosed, but 60% of the fee will go to Goias and the remainder to the player’s representatives, with the 26-year-old signing a deal until June 2020 with the Wolves.

Bruno Henrique had a very slow start to his career, with the successful loan spell at Itumbiara making all the difference.

He then went on to join Goias at the start of 2015 and in turn scored 12 goals in 49 league appearances.

And while Brazilian giants Internacional, Fluminense and Santos also expressed their interest in his services, it was Wolfsburg that eventually won the race for his signature.
