Wolfsburg keen on Vincent Janssen

London Evening Standard is reporting that Bundesliga giants Wolfsburg are hot on the trail of Tottenham Hotspur striker Vincent Janssen.

The Dutch forward has so far failed to justify his hefty price tag, and he is being heavily linked with a summer exit.

Janssen rejected an opportunity to join Galatasaray in January as he wanted to remain and fight for his place at White Hart Lane, but a summer move may be on the cards.

Namely, Wolfsburg seem prepared to offer the 22-year-old an escape route from North London as they have desperately lacked an old-style centre forward this season.

After bagging 27 goals in 34 Eredivisie matches at AZ Alkmaar, Janssen only netted once in 17 Premier League outings this season, and he now faces a battle to prove he deserves more first team football.

The Netherlands international has been playing second fiddle to Harry Kane since joining Tottenham, albeit starting five league matches.
