Wolfsburg’s Rodriguez set for new deal

German magazine Kicker has learned that Wolfsburg have managed to tie down star player Ricardo Rodriguez to a new long-term deal.

The left-back has become one of Europe’s most sought-after footballers, but he, nonetheless, decided to commit his future to the Wolves.

According to Kicker, Rodriguez has agreed to sign a new contract until June 2019 at Volskwagen Arena, and the Switzerland hotshot will put pen to paper when he returns from holiday.

The new deal will also include a release clause that will allow the 22-year-old to realise his big club move dream in the future.

Ricardo Rodriguez is widely regarded as one of the best left-sided defenders in European football, and he has been linked with Bayern Munich and Manchester United, among other clubs.

The full-back has continued the rich vein of form this season, making 16 competitive appearances and scoring no less than 6 goals in the process.
