Wolves announce permanent deal for Diogo Jota

Championship leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers have moved to reveal they have agreed to sign Diogo Jota on permanent basis.

The 21-year-old joined Wolves on loan from Atletico last summer and he impressed to score 11 goals in 29 Championship outings, helping the team climb to the league summit.

Eager to keep hold of their star player, Wolverhampton managed to reach an agreement with the La Liga side to sign the winger permanently.

Diogo Jota had joined Atletico Madrid after an excellent start to his career at Pacos Ferrerira, before impressing during loan stints with FC Porto and Wolverhampton.

The winger has been an integral part of Nuno Espirito Santo’s side that opened up a 12-point lead at the Championship summit.
