Youri Tielemans on AS Roma radar

AS Roma are considering a summer bid for Anderlecht playmaker Youri Tielemans, Il Corriere dello Sport can reveal.

The Giallorossi have recently strengthened their back line with Wojciech Szczesny, Federico Fazio and Thomas Vermaelen, and they are now turning towards midfield reinforcements.

While Fiorentina’s Borja Valero remains their number one target, AS Roma are now showing interest in Anderlecht starlet Youri Tielemans.

The 19-year-old has so far resisted temptation to leave Anderlecht for greener pastures, but he could soon be making a big club move.

Despite his fragile age, Tielemans already has over 100 league appearances for the Belgian giants and he appears ready for a new challenge in his career.

At the same time, AS Roma hope to soon complete the signing of Hakim Ziyech from Twente and are also looking at Torino’s Bruno Peres.

This is enough to suggest that the Giallorossi are ready to mount a serious title challenge, and they are 11/2 chance for the league title.
