(GSM) – Zambia and Tunisia drew 1-1 in their Group D match in Lubango as the first set of the African Cup of Nations Group Stage came to a close in Angola.

After Jacob Mulenga gave Zambia the lead after 18 minutes, Tunisia’s Zouhaier Dhaouadi leveled the scpre line before half-time.

At 18 minutes, Tunisia gave the ball away as Chamanga came forward. The defenders stepped off him, before he passed the ball wide to Mulenga who slipped. But the ball went back to Chama nga who put it wide to Mulenga again. Mulenga shot weakly at Mathlouthi but still the ball managed to go through him.

5 minutes from the end of the first-half, teenager Msakni was released down the left, made an impressive run and hit the byline before cutting the ball back to Dhaouadi who shot the ball into the roof of the net to level the result right before half-time.

Either side could have won it, with Zambia taking control of most of the possession and Tunisia looking dangerous on the break. But a draw was a fair result.
