Inter Milan skipper Javier Zanetti says his side have the ambition to challenge Juventus for the Serie A title this term.
Inter sit joint third in the league table, trailing the Turin giants by four points, and Zanetti is determined to push the reigning champions right to the end of the 2012/13 campaign.
“Are we Juve’s main rivals? We want to be up there challenging with them,” Zanetti told Inter’s website. “We’re following our path and we all feel we have a part to play.”
The Argentine discussed Wesley Sneijder’s ongoing injury worries, and hopes the playmaker will soon return to action.
“I hope he can get over his injury problems soon because he gives us something extra and he’s desperate to come back. He’s a key player for us,” he said.
Sneijder has made eight official appearances for Inter this term, scoring two goals in the process.
