Javier Zanetti says Inter Milan are slowly starting to lose belief as they continue to struggle to find their best form in the second half of the season.
Inter were beaten 3-0 by Tottenham in the Europa League last Thursday, and they were dealt another huge blow on Sunday when Bologna proved to be too strong at San Siro (1-0), much to the disappointment of Zanetti – who played his 600th match for the club.
“It’s a tough time, you lose a bit of belief when things aren’t going well,” the Argentine told the club’s official website.
“We now need this to end as soon as possible because it can’t continue: we need to rediscover our confidence. We’re working on it but it’s not easy.
“We really needed a convincing performance from everyone (against Bologna). We all must try and give more.”
Inter have dropped to fifth spot in the Serie A table following the weekend’s results.
