Inter Milan captain Javier Zanetti is confident Esteban Cambiasso will not say farewell to football once his playing career is over.
The 32-year-old Cambiasso has a contract with Inter until June 2014 but Zanetti’s already thinking about his compatriot’s future and feels he would be perfect for a coaching role.
“What will Cambiasso do when he hangs up his boots? ‘Cuchu’ will become a coach for sure. He’s already doing that on the pitch,” Zanetti told Inter Channel.
“Just as it was clear with Cholo (Diego Simeone) that he was cut out for it, so too you can see that Cuchu is a natural.”
Simeone started his coaching career at Racing in 2006 and has since worked at clubs such as Estudiantes, River Plate, San Lorenzo and Catania.
He is currently in charge of Atletico Madrid, where he has won the Europa League and European Super Cup since his arrival in December 2011.
