Competition: MLS

Market: Zlatan Ibrahimovic to score anytime

Odds: 8/13 @ Bet 365

With former Manchester United man Zlatan Ibrahimovic leading a midseason climb up the table for The Galaxy, The Whites now have the chance to jump up to second in the West when they face off against Colorado at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.

Starting with Colorado, coming off the back of a 2-1 loss to fellow strugglers DC United last time out, The Rapids are arguably the MLS least in form side. Now losing 11 of their last 16 matches in all competitions, it will be their recent defensive issues that will be the biggest cause for concern for Rapid’s boss Anthony Hudson. Along with failing to win any of their last nine MLS matches at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, Colorado have now shipped two or more goals in each of their last seven defeats.

As for Sigi Schmid’s LA Galaxy side, although the visitors slumped to a bottom-place finish last season, it has been a terrific bounce back and coming off the back of a 4-3 win over Orlando, The Galaxy have been in fine goalscoring form. Led by former Manchester United man Zlatan Ibrahimovic, LA have now scored 21 in their seven-match unbeaten run. With Galaxy’s talisman scoring a hat-trick last time out, the 36-year-old now has 15 for the season and sits second in the MLS goalscoring charts. Backing Ibrah to find the net against a team that have recorded two clean sheets since April seems like the smartest bet here.
