QPR keen on forgotten Chelsea man

A report from the Daily Mail is suggesting than Queens Park Rangers are weighing up a move for out-of-favour Chelsea winger Florent Malouda.

The Frenchman does not have a future with the European Champions and is not in their 25-man squad this season, but hasn’t been able to find a move away from Stamford Bridge as yet.

However, Harry Redknapp could be the man that offers him a chance to reignite his career. QPR have been linked with a number of players in this January transfer window, but if they can get the winger on the cheap, then they might just take him on.

Malouda has English Premier League experience and on his day, can be unplayable. He does have the tendency to go missing in a game though and might have his best years behind him.

He has been training with the club’s academy and Redknapp is willing to give him a chance to play in the top flight once more, but it is thought the France international will have to take a serious wage-cut if he is to make the move to Loftus Road.

It is certainly a story to keep an eye on with just ten day left in this transfer window.
