Turning their attentions away from their league duties, teams from across the Football League will be looking to book their spot in the fourth round of this years EFL Cup. Along with plenty of action in the National League, we here at Soccer News have found a handful of helpful tips that can boost your midweek acca.

Tuesday 25th September

19:45 BST Millwall vs Fulham

Starting with Neil Harris’ Millwall side, after coming away with their second 2-0 defeat on the bounce against West Brom over the weekend, the Lions will not be relishing the arrival of Premier League opponents on Tuesday. Despite planning a playoff push this year, Millwall are now without a win in their last four, losing three of those outings. Conceding two goals in four of their last six appearances, they now find themselves sat in the relegation zone after nine Championship matches. Given Millwall’s very below par start to the new campaign, Slaviša Jokanović will be optimistic about carrying on their stable start to life in the Premier League. While they could only manage a point against Watford on Saturday, the Cottagers did impress and aside from a 3-0 loss to Manchester City, Fulham are yet to lose any of their last five. One man to watch will be the Premier League’s joint top scorer Aleksandar Mitrovic, the Serbian international already has five for the season.

Tip: Away win @ 11/8

19:45 Bournemouth vs Blackburn

Well, there is no doubt that Cherries boss Eddie Howe will be calling for an immediate response after their 4-0 hammering away at Turf Moor on Saturday. Expected to name a strong side for their third round tie, Bournemouth will be hoping to carry on their recent record on the South Coast. While they are yet to record their first clean sheet in September, they have now scored seven in their last two matches at the Vitality Stadium. Although they have only lost one match on home soil since March, Howe will know they will face a tough test on Tuesday. After hanging on to take all three points against playoff hopefuls Stoke over the weekend, morale is high in Tony Mowbray’s camp. Putting three past the Potters on Saturday, while we do expect Blackburn to come away empty-handed, one man to watch will be leading goalscorer Bradley Dack. Last years League One Player of the Year already has six in all competitions so far.

Tip: Home win and both teams to score @ 9/4

19:45 Sutton United vs Dover

Looking to build on their third-place finish last season, Paul Doswell’s Sutton side are tipped by many for promotion to the Football League this season. Although they may have struggled in their 4-0 loss to last years finalists Boreham Wood earlier in the month, Tuesday’s hosts bounced back with a very impressive 3-0 win over a high flying Wrexham outfit on Saturday. Now winning four of their last five in all competitions, Doswell will fancy his chances of closing the gap at the top of the table when they host a Dover side already sat rock bottom of the National League table. With the visitors coming off the back of a 2-0 loss to Aldershot last time out, they’re now four points of safety and more worrying for Chris Kinnear’s side, they have now failed to find the net in their last three matches on the bounce.

Tip: Home win to nil @ 2/1
