AC Milan have today announced two major signings in the form of Samu Castillejo and Diego Laxalt, as the summer transfer window in Italy draws to a close. Milan are attempting to bolster their squad as they aim to qualify for the UEFA Champions League, as the quality of Serie A continues to grow.
These signings have been in the pipeline for quite some time now, but they have still had to make sacrifices as a result. We are, of course, referring to the fact that Carlos Bacca and Gianluca Lapadula have left the club as a result. With Castillejo coming in from Villarreal and Laxalt from Genoa, Bacca (Villarreal) and Lapadula (Genoa) have gone in the opposite direction in order to make room for the duo.
AC Milan are said to be on the verge of making a few more deals, too, on what is shaping up to be a blockbuster deadline day in Italy.
