Competition: Ligue 1 playoff

Market: Ajaccio to beat Toulouse

Odds: 13/5 @ Bet365

Looking to book their spot back in Ligue 1 for next season, on Wednesday night Ajaccio will welcome Toulouse to the Stade François Coty for their playoff first leg.

For Olivier Pantaloni’s Ajaccio side, after four years outside of France’s top tier, Le Bistrot have enjoyed an impressive end to their season and will welcome Toulouse on Wednesday night filled with confidence. Coming off the back of a penalty victory over Le Harve, The White and Reds have now only lost two matches since the end of February and are yet to be beaten at Stade François Coty in their last 13 appearances. The two men to watch for the hosts will be Ghislain Gimbert and Ryad Nouri, between them the pair have 27 between them.

As for Mickaël Debève’s Toulouse side, although Les Pitchouns secured a 13th place finish last year, the visitors have drastically struggled at the back end of the campaign and were only able to secure 18th spot in Ligue 1. Although Toulouse are coming off the back of a 2-1 win against Guingamp, The Purples have now won just two of their last 14 outings, a run that stems back to the start of February. It will also be the visitors’ defensive form that will be a huge cause for concern, Toulouse have now shipped 10 goals in their last four matches.
