Ajax close in on Dusan Tadic signing

According to Sky Sports, Ajax are on the verge of agreeing on a deal for Southampton midfielder Dusan Tadic. The 29-year-old has enjoyed four years on the south coast with the club, but in the wake of their narrow escape from relegation last season, it seems as if he’s preparing to say goodbye. The Dutch giants, on the other hand, will be attempting to wrestle back control of Eredivisie after they were dethroned by rivals PSV Eindhoven.

Tadic has long since been viewed as one of the Saints’ most well-rounded stars, and it was only a matter of time before a bigger club came calling. The Serbian is currently over in Russia with the Serbia national team, where he’ll be preparing for a huge do or die game against Brazil later today.

In response to this move, it seems as if Southampton will be heading straight back out into the transfer market in search of a young winger.
