Ake pours cold water over Manchester United link

Nathan Ake has dismissed rumours linking him with a move to Manchester United, according to the Metro.

The Bournemouth defender, who has also attracted attention from Tottenham Hotspur recently has said that he is focussed with life at the Vitality Stadium amid such reports.

He is the latest centre-back to emerge as a target for the Red Devils, who have also been looking at Harry Maguire, Diego Godin, Jerome Boateng and Toby Alderweireld in recent months.

Since signing from Chelsea, initially on loan Ake has racked up fifty-nine appearances in all competitions, scoring six goals while he won his seventh senior cap for the Netherlands in Saturday’s 3-0 UEFA Nations League victory over Germany.

Prior to his move to the south coast the twenty-three-year old played just seven times for Chelsea, spending most of his time out on loan in spells with Watford and Reading before arriving at Bournemouth in 2016.
