Akpom set for loan spell

Arsenal are once again ready to send Chuba Akpom out on loan, according to the Mirror.

The England U21 international has played just once this season, racking up eighty-three minutes in the 4-0 EFL Cup victory over Nottingham Forest – one of the four sides he has previously played for on a temporary basis.

He most recently spent time with Hull City, racking up forty-two appearances for them in all competitions last season and scoring seven goals as they achieved promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs.

In total he has played ten times for the Gunners, and manager Arsene Wenger is keen for him to continue his education in the second tier.

Arsenal beat Bournemouth by three goals to one on Sunday afternoon to keep within three points of leaders Chelsea and next turn their attention to the EFL Cup with their quarter final tie against Southampton on Wednesday evening.
