Alberto Aquilani joins Las Palmas

La Liga outfit Las Palmas have moved to announce the capture of Italian midfielder Alberto Aquilani.

The highly rated footballer joins on a free transfer after his deal with Pescara had expired, signing a two-year contract.

Aquilani struggled for form since leaving Fiorentina two years ago, but he performed really well during the loan spell with Sassuolo last season.

The attacking midfielder had made a name for himself at AS Roma, and also enjoyed spells with Liverpool, Juventus, AC Milan, Fiorentina, Sporting CP, Pescara and Sassuolo.

Aquilani managed 5 goals in 38 appearances for the Italy national team, playing at the 2013 Confederations Cup and 2014 World Cup.
