Almeida reveals Liverpool or United “dream”

Benfica’s Andre Almeida has revealed he would very much like to play for one of the two most decorated English clubs – Liverpool or Manchester United, according to the Mirror.

During his eight years at the Estadio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica, the midfielder has won five Primeira Liga trophies with the club, and helped them reach the 2013 and 2014 Europa League finals. Overall, he made 239 appearances for the most decorated club in Portugal, scoring five goals.

This isn’t the first time Almeida has been linked with a move to the Premier League. In the past, the likes of Leicester City, Crystal Palace, Southampton and West Bromwich Albion all expressed interest in bringing him to England. It appears, however, that the 28-year-old values himself sufficiently to aim for the top clubs in the league, but he is also aware that he wouldn’t be a regular starter either for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer or Jurgen Klopp.
