Arsenal and Leeds in Noah Lang race

Arsenal and Leeds United are set to go toe-to-toe for the signature of Club Brugge’s Noa Lang, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes.

The winger, also capable of playing as a central attacker, started out at Feyenoord but joined the youth setup of Ajax in 2013. Having come through the ranks of the club’s famous academy, he spent the second half of 2019-20 on loan at Twente, as well as almost the whole of 2020-21 at Club Brugge. His fine performances prompted the Belgian side to make the deal permanent this summer for a reported fee of €6 million.

This term, the 22-year-old already has eight goal involvements (four goals, four assists) from 10 appearances in all competitions, including the surprising 1-1 draw against star-studded Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League. Apparently, it was his performance against the Ligue 1 giants that has alerted the two Premier League clubs to his talent, though his agent recently spoke of interest from elsewhere towards the end of the summer transfer window.
