Arsenal closing in on January triple deal

Arsenal are expected to make a £60m triple swoop when the transfer window reopens, according to the Metro.

Manager Arsene Wegner has been given the green light to spend big in January, and he is working on deals to bring in Sami Khedira from Real Madrid, Schalke midfielder Julian Draxler and Benfica starlet Anderson Talisca.

A number of Premier League clubs have been linked with a move for Khedira, who starred for World champions Germany in Brazil this summer while his international teammate Draxler, who was also part of Joachim Low’s triumphant squad, has been a target of Wenger for some time.

Brazil U21 sensation Talisca only moved to Benfica in July, but has already impressed with six goals in just seven league appearances for Jorge Jesus’ side.

Arsenal suffered their first defeat of the season last weekend, losing 2-0 to Chelsea, and can now be backed at 2/5 to finish in the top four.
