According to a recent report from A Bola, Arsenal are still interested in possibly signing Gelson Martins. The 23 year old, who left Sporting Lisbon due to an incident on their training ground, joined Atletico Madrid before moving to Monaco on loan for the remainder of the season. He has been able to re-discover the form that put him on the map in the first place, and whilst Monaco won’t want to get rid of him, Arsenal will fancy their chances of bringing him over to English football.
Unai Emery already seems to be putting the pieces in place for a successful summer transfer window, which would follow on from last summer’s window which many fans considered to be really strong for the Gunners.
Martins is a Portugal international having made his debut back in 2016, and given how young he still is, there’s a good chance he could go on to become one of his country’s most prominent international talents.
