Aston Villa boss rules out McGinn sale

Aston Villa manager Dean Smith is adamant his club won’t be selling John McGinn any time soon.

The midfielder has been on impressive form recently, scoring three goals in 10 games for his club this season. He was a vital part of their team all through the 2018/19 campaign in the Championship as they fought their way up the ladder and into the Premier League. The change of competition obviously hasn’t affected his level of performance or contribution, and it has led to reports linking him with a move to one of the “bigger” clubs – most recently Manchester United.

However, as quoted by the Express, Smith claims that any club that comes in to inquire about the availability of the 25-year-old will receive “a swift reply”. The Villa boss described McGinn as a player of high energy level and a “big, big heart”, while insisting that the technical side of his game is severely underrated as well.
